Take a Simplistic Approach to Your Job Search

How do you feel about your job search?  Are there any signs of progression?  If not, you may need to review it and perhaps make some changes.  Whether you are searching for your first job or hunting a new one, take a simplistic approach to your job search so you won't be overwhelmed by the process.  Career experts offer some tips:

Don't stress over the resume- If you're not sure where to begin on creating a resume, ask someone whom you trust for help, or bring in a professional.  Either way, you'll be more relaxed in getting the resume done, especially if you need it right away.

Create a job-search game plan- What is your step-by-step plan to secure a job?  Think about what kind of position you want, and research that position and companies you could potentially work for.

Accept tea or water- In an interview, if you're asked about something to drink such as tea or water, accept it.  Doing so gives you an opportunity not only to satisfy your thirst, but also think about a response to a question.
